Chlorine Resistant Swimwear
As we all know the water in swimming pools is treated with chlorine to keep it bacteria free. Chlorine, while freeing the water from bacteria, also poses a health hazard for those who spend long hours in the pool. Prolonged exposure to chlorinated water is known to cause itching and irritation of skin and eyes. Chlorine also may lead to asthma. In some rare cases, it can cause gall bladder cancer.
In order to manage these potential problems, people use chlorine resistant swimwear. The most commonly used materials as protective clothing against chlorinated water are lycra and nylon. These materials are known to effectively resist chlorine reactions. Hence they are used widely in making swimwear and leggings.
A legging helps to minimize the exposure of your skin to chlorine. This covers the legs fully with a good fit and comes in various colors made of lycra. One good aspect about this is while chlorine reactions are resisted, the color of the swimwear will not fade. People who spend long hours in pools, for fitness or sports reasons, are advised to go for another kind of swimwear called Leg Swimwear to protect themselves from bad effects of chlorine.
The leg swimwear comes with the leg piece squarely cut with strips attached to the waist running over hips. Normally, the fabric used is Nylon Tricot possessing resistance to chlorine. Although the price of this swimwear is a little expensive, the protection it gives your skin fully justifies the indulgence.
There are, of course, cheaper swimwear that should serve the purpose for those who are not in the habit of spending long time in pools.
